Word up peeps. To celebrate the fact that it’s Steve’s birthday very soon we’re throwing a gig at Troy Bar, Hoxton on Saturday (March 7th) and you’re all invited.
Should be good crack as we’ll be joined by the mighty Dripping Baguettes who are reforming after all these years. We’ll also be performing live from a [...]
As I type these letters with my ice cold hands as London sinks below freezing once again I’m already thinking about the next series of Gold Digger gigs and when to book them. First off, I’d like to ask anyone out there who doesn’t live in London to have a nose about and see if [...]
We’ve just entered Gold Digger for the Glastonbury 2009 ‘Emerging Talent’ competition! Why not, eh? I love the festival (see my other blog) and if you’ve ever been you’ll know why I do. Here’s the link to our page their website here.
Visit and take a listen to the tracks!! You don’t have to do anything [...]

So….Christmas looms. The usual non-Christmasey and more often Pixar-film-based lights are up on Oxford and Regent Street in London and we are all rushing around like loonies trying to buy presents for our nearest and dearest. 2008 has flown by so quickly I can hardly believe were here again, and as usual I am faced with [...]
Was back in the studio yesterday and today laying down the music (guitar, bass, drums & synths) for 10 more Gold Digger tracks. Great to be back in the studio with sound engineer Steve Ellis. Funny to think that me and Steve used to come raving at this place back in 2000-01, before it got a [...]
Nice session at the Jericho Tavern in Oxford on Friday. I used to live there yonks ago so it was great to return to the city to see if it had changed at all. Well it hadn’t. Mad professors and hippie chicks cycling around, a mixture of ages, classes, types – it really still is a special [...]
Looks like our favourite rehearsal studio The Premises in Shoreditch has been pretty busy this Summer, with the likes of the Artic Monkey’s side project, UNKLE, Hot Chip, Klaxons, Kate Nash and that shambolic fool Pete Doherty all being in the house when we’ve rehearsed there. A popular place! Even with the Hells Angels partying at their London [...]
Great gig last night at The Cavendish Arms in Stockwell. Yes, the very town where the British cops gunned down the innocent Jean Charles de Menezes ‘cos they thought he was a terrorist (he had a rucksack on – duh!). It was also the scene of yet another of London’s many stabbings this week and when [...]
Woo hoo! We’ve just had a fantastic night performing over at Babalou, the pre-party bar (or crypt!) beneath Brixton’s “super club” Mass. It might sound a little spooky but they’ve got a great atmosphere down there and it turns into a proper bangin’ club after 11pm. We were really lucky to be playing alongside the live Trance group Serotonin and Hip Hop band *SWAGGA*. [...]
